The Doctor is In

As some of you may know, I'm a pretty big fan of Nivmagus Elemental. While there is no storm equivalent in Standard (thankfully), there is the cipher mechanic, which allows you to grow your Nivmagus Elemental over time. Additionally, the cipher spells that target work pretty well with the heroic mechanic as well!

Nivmagus Elemental

All the one-drop heroes and Nivmagus Elemental are auto-inclusions in a deck, but we need some more creatures. Judge's Familiar, while not super powerful, is a great candidate to encode onto. Akroan Skyguard is in a similar position, but actually has heroic!

The rest of the deck is cheap spells like Gods Willing to protect your threats and Retraction Helix to clear the way. Springleaf Drum allows you to function with such a low land count, especially with Akroan Crusader providing some help.

All in all, this deck probably isn't going to break any formats, but it's capable of ridiculous draws with Hidden Strings and/or Bioshift, so it shouldn't be underestimated.
