Last week Bryan Hawley introduced the new 1v1 Commander tournament play structure, spurring conversations in the community we felt it best to restructure the format starting from Hour of Devastation on out.

Team Draft Super League begins on Tuesday, May 16

Team Draft Super League is a streamed event that will run live every Tuesday night, beginning May 16th. Randy Buehler and Matt Sperling explain the format, upcoming teams, and reveal round one's schedule in this convenient video.

Upcoming Standard PTQ for Pro Tour Hour of Devastation on Saturday, May 13

Attention all Pro Tour hopefuls: a Pro Tour Qualifier (PTQ) is approaching! The weekly suite of Preliminaries on Thursday through Tuesday, May 11 through May 16, will take place at their normal times. We hope to see you in the PTQ Finals on Saturday, May 13!

Remember, you are no longer required to enter into the PTQ Finals immediately following the Preliminary that you qualified through, thanks to the redesigned PTQ system that Magic Online Events Manager Lee Sharpe announced here.

Upcoming Sealed Amonkhet PTQ for Pro Tour Hour of Devastation on Sunday, May 14

Attention all Pro Tour hopefuls: a Pro Tour Qualifier (PTQ) is approaching! The weekly suite of Preliminaries on Thursday through Tuesday, May 11 through May 16, will take place at their normal times. We hope to see you in the PTQ Finals on Sunday, May 14!

Take advantage of Magic Online's Redemption feature and trade in your complete Aether Revolt/Kaladesh card sets before 9:00 a.m. (PT) on June 7th.

Build Notes

Modern | First and foremost, Anafenza, the Foremost’s replacement ability will no longer exile creature tokens.

General | Magic Online player rewards for April have been granted. Those cards are listed in this article.

Duel Scene | Players that drop from an event before it starts on longer appear in the event detail’s player list.

Limited | Hazardous Conditions now correctly reduces the power and toughness of creatures without counters.

Limited | Split cards can now be cast using Oracle’s Vault second activated ability.

Limited | Clones put onto the battlefield with See the Unwritten will no longer prevent the game from progressing.

Limited | Banefire will not be countered or prevented if X is 5 or greater.

Limited | Graft will now trigger when creatures opponents control enter the battlefield.

Limited | If a spell or ability is cast in response to Fortune’s Favor, the piles will now be correctly indicated.

General | Zooming in on a card exiled by Shelldock Isle and friends no longer shows a basic Swamp.

General | Glorious End’s delayed trigger now correctly ends if a player finds a way to survive losing the game the first time.

Limited | Power Conduit no longer resets the game.

Commander | The Commander format has been updated as featured in this article.

Commander | Split cards are now the correct color identity in all cases.

General | Fixed several crashes in Collection and Limited Deck Building
