Day 1 Undefeated Decklists

Ten players escaped yesterday's carnage with unblemished 9-0 records.

Two of them played Mardu Ballista. Ryouhei Kirino's version was relatively standard, but Takanori Watanabe had a list with an interesting sideboard: thanks to Transgress the Mind, Painful Truths, Fumigate, and Sorin, Grim Nemesis, he could slide even further on the control scale.

Two players were on Green-Black Constrictor. One of them, Makoto Higuchi, had Dampening Pulse in his sideboard, which he could cast via Aether Hub or Servant of the Conduit—it's sweet tech against the Copy Cat combo. Takehiro Fujimoto's version, in contrast, was more aggressive with Scrapheap Scrounger and could curve Catacomb Sifter into Skysovereign, Consul Flagship.

Two more players, Yuki Matsumoto and Yoshifumi Karatsu, had found their success with Four-color Saheeli. Their main decks were fairly standard—no delirium package—but Karatsu's sideboard had some gems, such as Dampening Pulse for the mirror match and Woodland Wanderer to reinforce the mid-range plan.

The next two players both registered four copies of Aetherworks Marvel, threatening an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger as early as turn four. Chuan Sun combined the Marvel plan with the Copy Cat combo in his four-color list, while Takehiko Matsumura emphasized Elder Deep-Fiend in his Temur version.

The final two undefeated players were Masayasu Tanahashi (Temur Tower) and Kazuki Yamada (Red-Green Energy aggro with Invigorated Rampage).
