Entombed for Karador

Posted in Arcana on February 3, 2014

Here's a look at the first two Judge promos of 2014, one of which was left out of rotation for 2013, and one which is a first-time foil that many Commander players will be excited to get:

Entomb was first printed in Odyssey and then saw a reprint in the Premium Deck Series: Graveborn deck we released a few years ago. This is another awesome premium foil for our judges.

While I am excited for both of these cards, I have to say I'm even more excited for Karador, Ghost Chieftain. This is the first time anyone will get to hold a premium foil version of the card.

Every time I do one of these arcanas, people email asking how they can get them. As noted above this is something we do as a way of thanking our judges who work at the Premier events. So the first step to getting some promos like this in the future is to explore the judging program and see if it is something you're interested in doing!

And now for something tangentially related... as you might know I love playing Commander and one of my go-to decks is my "Karador All-Creatures" deck. I play this on Magic Online with a handful of friends from Twitter. One of my favorite things for Commander is setting myself arbitrary guidelines for decks, and this one is meant to do as much as possible with only creatures. So no Planeswalkers and no noncreature spells.

It isn't updated for Born of the Gods yet, but here's a look at the decklist:
