Color wheel violations

As Magic senior designer Mark Rosewater has often discussed on MagicTheGathering.com, the color wheel, also known as the color pie, keeps the five colors in balance while adding spice to the game.

But R&D's thinking about the color wheel was not always so. For example, check out these rather blatant violations (by today's standards), all from 1994's The Dark:
