Dack Fayden is the greatest thief in the Multiverse, but Vintage enthusiast Rich Shay wanted some additional thievery for his latest Vintage concoction. Enter Notion Thief. With Dack Fayden and Notion Thief in play, you can use Dack's +1 ability to force the opponent to draw two cards and discard two cards. Unfortunately for the opponent, his or her draws will be stolen by Notion Thief and will still be forced to discard two cards. That type of card advantage is tough to come back from!

Dack Fayden works in Vintage primarily because of how many powerful artifacts there are. Time Vault and Voltaic Key are in many decks, while a Mishra's Workshop deck is almost 100% artifacts. Finally, Tinker is around to bring out some heavy-hitting artifacts such as Blightsteel Colossus. The rest of the deck is full of interactive Vintage staples such as Force of Will and Mental Misstep, as well as some of the restricted cards that help define Vintage: Ancestral Recall, Yawgmoth's Will, and Tinker.
