When a new set is introduced into Standard, some players opt to continue to play their existing decks. Charley Murdock is not one of those people. At the StarCityGames Open in Baltimore this past weekend, Charley put many of Magic 2015's most exciting cards into his Mono-Green Devotion deck, falling just short of the Top 8 due to tiebreakers.

Magic 2015 cards are all over the place in this deck, each with a unique impact on the deck. Nissa, Worldwaker is a fantastic card for this deck, as she fuels a relatively mana-hungry deck or provides a constant stream of 4/4s. The Darksteel Citadel looks very strange until you realize that Nissa, Worldwaker can turn it into an indestructible creature. Given that it is still a land, there are very few cards that can remove it from play. One of the cards that Nissa can provide extra mana for is Genesis Hydra. Genesis Hydra is a potent threat that often brings another threat alongside it.

Chord of Calling is another great Magic 2015 addition that allows the deck to play a little bit of a toolbox of creatures, effectively finding the right one for each situation. Hornet Queen is often a backbreaker against black decks focused on one-for-one removal, while Reclamation Sage is an excellent tool against the many enchantments of Theros block. Rounding out the Magic 2015 singletons, Phyrexian Revoker provides an answer to Planeswalkers that green can often have a tough time with.
