Have you ever heard of a card named Slippery Bogle? It's a creature from Eventide that costs one blue/green hybrid mana for a 1/1 hexproof. I remember it being laughed at in Draft, or rather receiving sympathy as to how bad the deck was. That's how bad it was.

However, did you know Mr. Bogle is an ace creature in his deck in Modern?

That deck is Green-White Hexproof.

The deck's idea is similar to the Infect deck I talked about last week. Grow small creatures and attack.

However, there is a large difference between the Infect deck and this one. Infect is dedicated to speed and efficiency, trying to do the most damage with as few cards as possible. Optimally, Infect wants to win the game with one Infect creature and two or three Giant Growths. Green-White Hexproof, on the other hand, concentrates on how safely it can produce huge monsters.

Hexproof is the answer. Hexproof creatures don't have to worry about removal while they are enchanted. You have Umbra Auras for sweepers such as Supreme Verdict and Gladecover Scout or Dryad Arbor for Liliana of the Veil. What if your opponent is faster than you? Gain it back with lifelink. That's the basic idea.

Of course, there is a downside. A lot of preparation means a lot of cards. This means there are a lot of bad draws you can have. They could be too many hexproof creatures or too many Auras. Another scenario is that you will be attacking with a 3/3 the whole game.

The deck has a mind of its own.
