Control isn't the only deck that received new Dragons from Dragons of Tarkir. Thunderbreak Regent is a great card that doesn't die without dealing damage to an opponent, and a 4/4 flyer is a fine attacker for an aggressive deck.

Red already had Stormbreath Dragon prior to Dragons of Tarkir. Eight strong Dragons plus Draconic Roar is enough to build an aggressive red Dragon deck. The question is how to build around this.

Red-White or Jeskai were popular decks from the previous format. Mono-Red Devotion or splashing black for Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury sounds like an option too.

The pairing Ross Merriam made was green.

The combination of mana creatures and Dragons is an established strategy in Magic history. However, he added another interesting card from the new set. Surrak, the Hunt Caller—the former khan—has returned as a mono-green creature.

He isn't as flashy compared to all the Dragons in the set, but that doesn't mean he's inferior to them.

In most cases he should have haste, unless he was quickly summoned with a mana creature. I'm very impressed by this card.
