When I started writing this column, I decided on some rules to follow, promises made to myself about what I would and wouldn't do. But, I have a confession to make—this week, I'm brushing up against one of them. It was a pretty simple rule, a rather natural one: not to showcase the same deck until a new set was released. Anyway, I got excited by something I came across and decided to make it a feature for this week; as I started writing, I felt a strong sense of déjà vu, and after I did a quick search I realized I had already written about it.

That said, to ignore this deck or try to work around it would be extremely inelegant and undeserving…I feel I have no choice but to bend my own rule and post this deck for the second time in two months.

What deck am I talking about? UR Treasure Cruise burn. This deck combines hyper-aggressive creatures with burn and fetch lands, while using Treasure Cruise to refill its hand. It is an unusual deck in that it is viable and being played in all Constructed formats—Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Standard—simultaneously.
