Announcement Day is Coming!

Last May, we held the first Magic Announcement Day, wherein we announced a slate of upcoming new expansions and ways to play. During that announcement, we teased that the very next Announcement Day would be coming in September. Well, we were off by a day. Announcement Day—which will include announcements for the next block as well as supplementary sets and products into 2017—will be this Wednesday, August 31. Look for it right here on DailyMTG.
Okay, so this video is mostly just nature and Stranjak getting used to his equipment, but it was worth pointing out that Stranjak will be creating a video diary while at PAX. He also asks for questions that you, his viewing audience, would like to ask of people at PAX. Also, he gets stung by a bee. His life is full of adventure.
Sargent has been reviewing Conspiracy color-by-color over the past few weekdays, and his review of the set with a casual player in mind (Sargent is basically the king of casual play) touches on all of the fun things you'll want to do to wreck your opponents with Conspiracy cards. And also conspiracy cards.
It's straightforward, it's brutal, and it's efficient. Brandon Burton took down Grand Prix Indianapolis with a turn-three kill that went Goblin Guide, two Lava Spikes, and three Lightning Bolts. And just like that, he won on turn three.
The deck is nearly mono-red, but it dips into green and white for Wild Nacatl, Boros Charm, and Atarka's Command, plus a number of sideboard cards. It's the most straightforward implication of the strategy—and, it seems, the best.
