You've drafted the set a bunch. You have solid pick orders, you know the format is aggressive, and you know never to pass Glorybringer. But you still can't quite put it all together? PVDDR's got you covered, with a look at the strengths and weaknesses of every archetype, from the decks he wants to play to those he very much doesn't.
Higgs is going deep with Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun—in Standard! I opened this article mostly expecting a Commander piece, but Higgs has some intriguing options for busting Temmet and his token pals through in Standard.
Another new Channel Fireball writer appears! Ewaldh may not be a household name, but the deck he's showing off today is incredible. There's been a mono-blue taking-turns deck with As Foretold and Restore Balance floating around on the fringes of the format for a bit, but Ewaldh swaps in red for a certain fiery planeswalker and takes off from there.
Boggemes made some techy changes to Temur Aetherworks to push it (more) over the edge, but I'm really pointing this article out for the strategies that can beat Aetherworks. Boggemes has some advice plus two lists that can do the trick.
The other day I said Danny West's ranking of sets was a must-read, and a number of people took issue with that. Generally speaking, I don't think something is a must-read if I agree with it—I think it's a must read if it's 1) very useful or 2) people are going to talk about it a bit, even debate over it. Which they did! The article got 60 comments (granted, like three of those are mine), and it spawned this thread defending Ice Age (as I defended Alliances).
