A Cascade of Value

Cascade is a very powerful mechanic. Shardless BUG is one of the most consistent decks in Legacy, and its namesake Shardless Agent is one of the most important pieces in the deck. Jund decks have also done well based on a healthy dose of disruption. Bloodbraid Elf does much of the same work that Shardless Agent does—being a difficult-to-counter two-for-one.

Why not both?

Magic Online user echecetmat35 has taken this path, combining much of the strengths of both Shardless BUG and Jund into one potent deck with more cascade creatures than other decks. It's easier to cascade into Ancestral Vision for some serious card advantage, and this seems like one of the better decks for grinding out an opponent. The support cards are often chosen for their ability to stay relevant no matter when they are cast. When you are casting a cascade spell, you don't want anything such as Counterspell in your deck, and most pinpoint removal should be minimalized. You may not have a valid target! Instead, this deck plays cards like Lightning Bolt and Izzet Charm to provide additional profitable cards to cascade into on an empty board. Many of the sideboard cards follow this philosophy, making this a very well-rounded deck!
