Unlike Seventh Edition, Eighth Edition contains upkeep effects.

  New Mechanics: enemy split cards, “envoys,” flagbearers, sanctuaries, “siphon” creatures, volvers
Factoid: Apocalypse marked the culmination of the Weatherlight story arc that had been going on since the Mirage block.
