本来なら予選ラウンドはこのラウンド 14 で終了し、次は決勝ラウンドかと言ったところなのだが、今回の 2 日目は 8 ラウンド用意されており、このラウンドを含めてあと 3 ラウンド残っている。
それでも日曜日の決勝に参加できるのは 8 人のみ。
ではその決勝に残る目のある 2 人の戦いをお送りしよう。
白単の野村と、赤白の関根との対戦。
Game 1
先に動いたのは野村。
4 ターン目の《曙光の精霊/Dawn Elemental》キャストから攻撃に移る。
3 点のダメージを安定して与えつづけ、勢いをつけて《正義の命令/Decree of Justice》をサイクリングし、 3 体のソルジャートークンを場に。
軽快に攻める野村だが、関根に 6 マナが溜まると、即《アクローマの復讐/Akroma's Vengeance》が飛んでくる。
めげずに、野村は《永遠のドラゴン/Eternal Dragon》を出し、攻撃しようとするが、関根も同じく《永遠のドラゴン》を出して、これをブロッカーとする。
ここで場は少し膠着。
お互い、じっくりとマナを貯めるモードに入り、関根が新たな《永遠のドラゴン》を呼んだその時、野村は《正義の命令》をサイクリングし、その X を 9 で宣言すると、残りライフがすくなかった関根は投了を宣言。
野村 1 - 0 関根
Game 2
再び、一番ゲームの初めにキャストされるのは野村の《曙光の精霊》。
《曙光の精霊》でなぐりつつ、《霊体の地滑り/Astral Slide》を置けば、それは危険と《アクローマの復讐/Akroma's Vengeance》を撃つ関根。
更に《曙光の精霊》と《永遠のドラゴン》を野村が出せば、これもまとめて関根に《アクローマの復讐》される。
次は我もと関根が《正義の命令》をサイクリングし、大量のトークン達と、《怒りの天使アクローマ》で 14 ものダメージを与えると、返す野村のターンに勿論《アクローマの復讐》を食らう。
だが、これで残りライフが減りきった事が大きく、後の関根のターン。
《稲妻の裂け目/Lightning Rift》を貼り、 3 回のサイクリングを重ねて、野村のライフを 0 まで追い込む。
野村 1 - 1 関根
Game 3
野村は3 度、 4 ターン目の《曙光の精霊》スタートし、次ターンに《正義の命令》サイクリングで 3 体のソルジャートークン場に放って攻撃開始。
これを、《アクローマの復讐》する所までは、今までと殆ど同じ動きだが、今回は関根の場に一切の赤マナがない。
だが、そんな事を一切気にせず、後のターンに《怒りの天使アクローマ》を発射。
これに対しては野村も《アクローマの復讐》を撃つしかなく、キャスト。
と、そんな所で試合時間を消化仕切り、残るは追加 5 ターン。
現在は関根のターン。
そして手札と場を確認する関根。
そこで、彼が行き着いた結論は、対戦相手のライフを 0 にすることが出来ない事を悟ったので、《滅殺の命令》をキャストすることに。
世界を完全に消し去り、後 5 ターン後に追加ターンが終了し、引き分けが決定した。
