The Magic: The Gathering® Grand Prix tournament series is an international circuit of large-scale Qualifier tournaments featuring cash prizes and multiple invitations to Pro TourTM events.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
- The format for Grand Prix - Buenos Aires is Extended.
- Friday, November 24: Registration from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.
- Saturday, November 25: Registration from 8:30 - 9:30 A.M.
- Saturday, November 25: Tournament begins at 10:00 A.M. The Top 64 players advance to Sunday.
- Sunday, November 26: Finals begin at 9:30 A.M.

TOURNAMENT
- Divisions
The main tournament at Grand Prix - Buenos Aires is open to Magic® players of all ages.If the player who wins an invitation to Pro Tour-Tokyo at Grand Prix-Buenos Aires has already qualified for an invitation, the invitation shall be extended to the next-best finisher. Previous qualification may occur through a Qualifier tournament, through performance at a professional tournament, or by being an invited DCITM player (valid on the date of the official rank announcement for the appropriate professional tournament).
- Tournament Format
The format for Grand Prix - Buenos Aires is Extended. All DCI-Extended rules and Magic Floor Rules announced on September 1, 2000, along with all subsequent updates, will be enforced. - Tournament Structure
The structure for Grand Prix - Buenos Aires is modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds, with the number of rounds determined by the number of participants), with the Top 64 players advancing to Day 2 of competition for prizes and invitations.

Grand Prix - Buenos Aires will feature the standard "main tournament" prize schedule as well as a special "1700 division" prize schedule.
