2005 Magic Invitational Pro Players Pick

Posted in Event Coverage on March 15, 2005

Who knows the Pro Tour better than the players themselves? Armed with a ballot, a pen, and endless debates, the players attending Pro Tour-Atlanta had to choose one of their own for the honor of attending the Invitiational.

The ballot question was a simple one: Who is the most feared side draft opponent? Of the 357 players in attendance, 341 cast their votes and by a narrow margin, Sam Gomersall earned the spot. Here are the complete results:

    1. Sam Gomersall: 58 votes
    2. Anton Jonsson: 52 votes
    3. Antoine Ruel: 48 votes
    t-4. Nicolai Herzog: 35 votes
    t-4. Jelger Wiegersma: 35 votes
    6. Rich Hoaen: 33 votes
    7. Olivier Ruel: 29 votes
    8. Itaru Ishida: 28 votes
    9. Masahiko Morita: 23 votes

Thanks to all the players who participated, and congratulations Sam!
