Round 4: Ollie Schneider vs. Amiel Tenenbaum

Roar of the Wurm
In this battle between some of Europe's finest, Ollie Schneider was sporting the Hampton Court Palace Monoblack Control deck (with only Marble Diamonds as sources of white mana for sideboarded Aura Blasts) while Amiel ran a self-built U/G/W Quiet Speculation deck with Oppositions.

Game 1 saw Amiel playing first and casting a second-turn Quiet Speculation for two Roar of the Wurms and a Deep Analysis. Aided by his Birds of Paradise, the first Wurm was made on turn 3 while all Ollie could do was play a Marble Diamond. The fourth-turn Roar spelled doom for the Englishman as all he had was an Engineered Plague in play (naming Birds) while the 6/6 French Wurms did him in.

Ollie mumbled something about not drawing Chainer's Edicts or Innocent Bloods as they sideboarded and prepared for Game 2

Game 2 began with Tenenbaum building his mana base up with 2 Sunscape Familiars and a Merfolk Looter. The 2 familiars were sacrificed to an Innocent Blood and Chainer's Edict as the Englishman decided that he too should started drawing more cards by playing a Phyrexian Arena. The damage started when Amiel cast a fifth-turn Wild Mongrel, followed on the next turn by a Wurm Token. Not daunted by the monstrosity, Schneider attempted a Corrupt on the Wurm but Tenenbaum had the Circular Logic for it. The next turn, Amiel checked with Ollie as to whether he was on 13 life before casting a Rushing River on his own familiars to get enough cards to feed the Mongrel into lethal damage.

Final Result: Amiel Tenenbaum 2 – Ollie Schneider - 0
