Amiel Tenebaum might be young, just twenty years old, but he is already used to be the Magic spotlight. You might not recognize him from the photos now but picture him with long hair and you might have flashbacks of Team Pro Tour.

Along with Nicolas Olivieri and Gabriel Nassif, Amiel formed Les Plus Class and made it all the way to the finals. Finally stopped by Phoenix Foundation (Budde, Blume, Baberowski) they were amongst the first to show the world the new wave of good French players.

His tournament started off very well, finishing the first day 6-1, having drafted Green-White in the first draft and Black-White in the second. Today, he didn't take his foot of the throttle until the last round and he ended at the top of the Swiss. The result is a 5-1-1 with a deck he knows inside out.

He has been using it for a long time and play it at French Nationals. Since then he only changed three cards in the deck. Although the deck might look a bit different from the usual Green-Blue-Red decks players who have seen it in action swear by its quality.

He again got a taste of being close to glory and being overcome at the end when he lost the closest rookie of the year ever to Mori at the last possible event, Worlds. This year he again did well in San Diego finishing in the Top 32.

Will this tournament, with his own deck, be the breaking moment for Amiel? Can he finally clear that final hurdle and add a title to his already impressive resume? To get there he has to first take out countryman Christophe Haim.
