Former U.S. Nationals finalist Gabe Walls narrowly missed the Top 8 at Grand Prix-Los Angeles with a version of the classic Astral Slide deck. His efforts have caught on with players all over the world. FFfreaksgrandmother used this build to Top 8 a Premier Event on Magic Online. The Slide deck seeks to gain a wealth of card advantage by using cyclers in conjunction with Astral Slide itself. Life from the Loam helps by returning all the lands cycled to its owner's hand, allowing the Slide player to keep going late into the game.
