Luis Scott-Vargas's Boss Naya

At Pro Tour–San Diego, the Tom Ross–designed "Boss Naya" deck lived up to its name, posting an undefeated Standard record in the hands of Luis Scott-Vargas and a near-perfect record piloted by Ross himself. The deck features an enormous ability to ramp up its mana, multiple search toolboxes, huge threats that start small, and the surprise technology of Basilisk Collar—whether searched up by Stoneforge Mystic, gaining massive life with Knight of the Reliquary, or shooting Baneslayer Angels and Broodmate Dragons out of the sky with Cunning Sparkmage. Check out the official event coverage for more on this deck and the unusual Jund deck that finally took it down in the Semifinals.
