Parth Modi's Cascade Swans


One of the most interesting decks to come out of the 2009 Regionals scene has been the Cascade Swans archetype. On top of the success Parth Modi had at Regionals, three versions of the deck made it into the Grand Prix–Barcelona Top 8, including winner Joel Calafell! The premise is simple: by playing cascade spells with only Swans of Bryn Argoll and Seismic Assault to flip over, you eventually are bound to resolve that combo, all while keeping your opponent's spells off the board! From there, you can simply chain throwing lands at your Swans until you have enough lands to kill the opponent with Seismic Assault.
