Domrinating Modern

Despite Modern being a relatively powerful format, it's often the fair-looking decks that perform well. Ghor-Clan Rampager, Flinthoof Boar, and Thundermaw Hellkite have made appearances in various decks, but so far not in the same deck.

Presenting a steady stream of large threats has done well against the grindy BG decks of the format, especially with Chandra, Pyromaster and Domri Rade giving the deck a nice late game. Thundermaw Hellkite is a particularly strong threat right now considering how good it is against the recently unbanned Bitterblossom. Strangleroot Geist is also pretty good against both Bitterblossom and Liliana of the Veil.

I really like this deck's sideboard also. Combo decks are always an issue, but Blood Moon, Combust, and Torpor Orb team up in the sideboard to fight the various combo decks in Modern. Ancient Grudge and Bonfire of the Damned are great hosers for other popular strategies, too.

Is grebyn90 Brian Kibler's new Magic Online screen name? I doubt it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Kibler rocking something similar at Pro Tour Born of the Gods, except with more Wild Nacatls.
