While Five-Color Control has been all the rage in Standard for some time now, the concept of five color decks is not a new one. One of the first such incarnations came about during the Regionals season of 1998. Alex Shvartsman, famed member of team Your Move Games, played this version at the time. The deck splashed the most powerful spells spread across five colors and made the mana work via "rainbow" lands like City of Brass and Undiscovered Paradise.
