Event Formats

  • Sealed Deck Tournament
  • Open Dueling

Sealed Deck Tournaments use a tournament pack plus three booster packs of Shards of Alara. Flights will be available in select locations.

As a more casual format, Open Dueling is ideal for newer players. Grab an Intro Pack and then play as many opponents as you like.

Shards of Alara marks the first set where Prereleases will be available in numerous game stores across the globe in addition to the more traditional large events. These new set celebrations give players access to special foil cards, deck boxes, and other prizes while supplies last.
