Today I'm going to look at a possible Modern deck that could be built after the release of the upcoming core set, Magic 2014. M14 will have a new card called Young Pyromancer, who gives you a 1/1 Elemental token whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, which is something Storm decks are generally in the business of doing many times. However, many Storm decks have little use for some 1/1 Elemental tokens. This deck, on the other hand, seeks to take full advantage.

Seething Song was recently banned in Modern, which took a lot of power away from Storm decks, but Battle Hymn is a potentially stronger mana generator if you have a way to get four or more creatures in play. Young Pyromancer is excellent at that. So is Empty The Warrens. With all these creatures, we can easily win by attacking, without Grapeshot, but it would be nice to be able to do it right away. That's the job for Goblin Bushwhacker.

Since Young Pyromancer doesn't exist yet, it's hard for me to test this deck. At the moment, it's just built to play Young Pyromancer on turn two and empty its hand (and, ideally, the Warrens) on turn three, and win either that turn or over the next few turns by attacking with tokens. I'm not sure if this deck needs some other card-draw spell, like Faithless Looting, Desperate Ravings, Goblin Lore, or Reforge the Soul. It's entirely possible that it does, but I think this is a good starting point to make the deck as fast as possible.
