There is no pre-registration necessary for this event because it is open for everyone to enter.

The format for Grand Prix–Bologna is Kamigawa Limited; Sealed Deck (1 tournament pack, one booster BoK and one booster SoK ) with day 2 Booster Draft. All DCI
Friday, June 10: Registration from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
Saturday, June 11: Registration from 8:00 - 9:00 A.M.
Tournament begins at 9:00 A.M. The Top 64 players advance to competition on Sunday
Sunday, June 12: The Top 64 players begin play at 8:00 A.M.

The main tournament at Grand Prix–Bologna is open to Magic players of all ages.
In the event that a player who wins an invitation to a Pro Tour stop at a Grand Prix has already qualified for an invitation, the invitation shall be extended to the next-best finisher in that Grand Prix. Previous qualification may be through a Qualifier tournament, through performance at a professional tournament, or by being an invited DCI
- Tournament Structure
The structure for Grand Prix–Bologna will be modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds), with the Top 64 players (or 128 if 800 or more players registered for the main event) advancing to the second day of competition for prizes and invitations. The top 8 previously uninvited Players will receive invitations to Pro Tour-London
- Tournament Divisions and Prizes
Grand Prix–Bologna will feature the standard “main-tournament” prize schedule as well as a special “Amateur" prize schedule. The Amateur prizes will be paid to the highest-finishing amateur players in addition to any winnings those players receive from the main tournament prize schedule. All prizes are in U.S. Dollars.

- Amateur Status
A player is considered to have amateur status if he or she has 0 lifetime pro points. If a player has ever been awarded ANY pro points from a Grand Prix, Pro Tour, or World Championship event, that player no longer has amateur status, may not participate in the Amateur Championship or Junior Super Series tournaments, and is not eligible for amateur awards at Grand Prix or other tournaments.
Besides the numerous side events which are single elimination there will also be a Vintage tournament on Sunday.

How To Reach
By car Bologna is along the A1 motorway which connects it to Milan going north and Rome going south. To reach PalaMalaguti, exit at Casalecchio di Reno. Then take the 1bis exit and follow directions for “Maranello-Vignola-Palasport”. If you are not coming from the A1 motorway but from the orbital road, take exit number 1 instead of 1bis.
By train PalaMalaguti is directly connected with Bologna Central Railway Station by the suburban railway “Bologna-Bazzano-Vignola” . Get off at Palasport. You should reach it in only 20 minutes. Trains leave from platform 7 at Piazzale Ovest.
By bus You can reach Pala Malaguti by suburban bus from Bologna Central Railway Station. You can take bus 93 and 94 (only on weekday) and nr 671 (on weekdays and on holidays).

The extra busses will start in the morning from the rail station and in the evening from Palamalaguti and this every 30 minutes
The daily ticket costs €2.90 and you can buy it at every ticket office at the Railway station
