Grand Prix Trials (GPTs) are smaller, regional Magic Tournaments that award at least one 2-round bye to the appropriate individual-format Grand Prix. Players with a 2-round bye at a Grand Prix get a "leg up" in the event – they don't have to play in the first two rounds of the tournament and are considered to have won those rounds!

If you’re interested in participating in a Grand Prix Trial, click here to find one in your city.

To find out more about the format, rules, and product mix for the Grand Prix Trial you would like to participate in, visit this page and click "Info" in the Trials column on the seasonal calendar at the bottom of the page.

Note: as of September 5, 2013 there are no Grand Prix Trials for team-format Grand Prix.
