While combo decks got a lot of attention at this past weekend's Pro Tour Philadelphia (part of Magic Weekend Philadelphia), plenty of players opted for a different strategy. Check out Sascha Thomsen's take on the archetype known as "Hate Bears." The game plan? Beat opponents down with 2-power creatures that disrupt their game plans. Aven Mindcensor makes it hard for Twelvepost players to search their libraries, Qasali Pridemage causes all sorts of problems for players using artifacts or enchantments, Leonin Arbiter can shut off fetch lands... and all of that while continuing to attack.
