Magic 2011 goes on sale in the Magic Online Store on Monday, August 2 at 9:00 AM PDT (16:00 UTC). Magic 2011 becomes legal in ALL constructed formats following the July 28 downtime.
All appropriate Standard format Daily Events, Premier Events, Weekend Challenges, and Queues will switch to Magic 2011 prize payouts after the scheduled downtime on Wednesday, August 4.
Magic 2011 Release Events begin after the downtime Wednesday, August 4 and will consist of 6 parts:
- Magic 2011 2, 4 and 8-Player Casual Draft Queues (Starting Monday, August 2)
- Magic 2011 Booster Draft Queues
- Magic 2011 16-player Swiss Sealed Flights
- Magic 2011 64-Player "Top 8" Premier Drafts
- Magic 2011 "Top 8" Swiss Sealed Events
- Magic 2011 Release Events Championship
MAGIC 2011 CASUAL DRAFT QUEUES
START TIME: Starting Monday, August 2 at 9:00 AM PDT (16:00 UTC) until the beginning of the scheduled downtime on Wednesday, August 18.
LOCATION: Casual Draft room.
ENTRY FEE: Product only.
PRODUCT: 3 Magic 2011 booster packs.
SIZE: 2, 4 or 8 Players.
DURATION: Drafting and deck building time plus a number or rounds determined by Swiss pairings.
PRIZES: None.
MAGIC 2011 BOOSTER DRAFT QUEUES
START TIME: On demand starting after the scheduled downtime on Wednesday, August 4 until the beginning of the scheduled downtime on Wednesday, August 18.
LOCATION: 8-Player Draft room.
ENTRY FEE: 2 Event Tickets plus product.
PRODUCT: 3 Magic 2011 booster packs.
SIZE: 8 Players.
DURATION: Drafting and deck building time plus 3 Rounds, Single elimination, or 3 Rounds, Swiss pairings.
PRIZES: Prizes for Single elimination events are based on placement at the end of the tournament. Prizes for Swiss Pairing events are based on total match points at the end of the tournament. Each match win awards 3 points and each match loss awards 0 points.

ADDITIONAL PRIZES: All players who participate in the Magic 2011 Release Events Championship will receive 1 premium foil copy of the Magic 2011 release card Ancient Hellkite.
Although players may have multiple accounts qualified for the Magic 2011 Release Events Championship, players are not permitted to own more than one account entered in the event. Players are not permitted to have secondary accounts played by another person. If a player is discovered to have more than 1 account playing in a Championship before, during, or after the event, appropriate penalties will be applied (including disqualification from the event with no refund of product or event tickets).
Playing on another person's account, selling your account, etc. are all violations of the Terms of Service. If you play in these, win, and expect to get your prize, be very, very sure you are on your own account. We do not recognize "I and a friend jointly own the account," "It's my brother's account but he gave it to me," or similar. The only exception is an adult may authorize a single dependent child age 13-17 to play on an account that adult has purchased.
It will be the player's responsibility to make sure that they have been properly entered into this event and are able to join it PRIOR to the start of the Championship. If a player is qualified and is unable to join the Championship, they will need to contact customer service for assistance.
For all Magic 2011 Release Events, Wizards of the Coast reserves the right to modify, reschedule, and/or delete any tournament if, in its sole judgment, tournament integrity has been compromised by an unforeseen technical issue.
