The third round of Standard Showdown events is this weekend, but if you need inspiration for what to play, we'll be publishing decks from the previous weekend every Friday. If you want to just see deck lists, scroll down.

I received a lot of cool decks (you can email standardshowdown@wizards.com to see your deck here next week), but I also received a lot of cool notes from players and stores just saying how much fun the event was. Here's just a few things people wrote while sending in their decklists:

As a new player (started in October because Kaladesh looked great) I play Standard by necessity, and so the Standard Showdown looked like a lot of fun. It was! As a break from exam studies, I decided last minute to attend and took a homebrew I'd made for fun the night before. Somehow it took me to 4-0 for my first tournament win!

The Showdown was so much fun, and as a very new player I am excited to see this sort of event. I look forward to seeing what's next!

Some of the closest games of Magic I've had in a while. Especially the third game of the final round. Almost died to Marionette Master, but I just managed to squeeze out enough trample damage to pull off the win. (Thank you Neck Breaker, Cult, Alphas, and others. But mostly Neck Breaker.)

This deck has [helped] me go undefeated twice. Feels so good to have your opponent tap out when you have Bruna coming out next turn and Brisela makes their hand full of blanks.

Standard Showdown has been well-received in my local game store. New faces, lots of different decks, and great atmosphere. And not to mention the excitement of opening the Standard Showdown boosters!

I would say this is the best promotion Wizards had ever made, and you should think about doing something similar next year during this time. Also, this is the best experience I've had in around 20 years of Magic, and I would say thanks to all of Wizards of the Coast!

Love Standard Showdown. Keep doing it after the four weeks.

I really enjoyed the Showdown. This gave the whole event a more casual feel. I won two special packs, and the premium foil full-art Mountain went right into my deck.
