Daniel Zink's Mirari's Wake Control

Download Arena Decklist

Daniel Zink was an unknown player from Germany when he burst onto the scene by taking the title of World Champion in 2003. His deck of choice? The powerful Mirari's Wake control deck, featuring a white-blue-green manabase and using Mirari's Wake to power up his manabase long enough to start chaining powerful spells with Mirari. Once he had played a Cunning Wish, in fact, he could loop the Wishes with copies from Mirari tutoring for an instant from his sideboard with the Wish copy and using the actual Wish itself to get back a previous Cunning Wish. You can watch all the 2008 World Championships, coming to you live from magicthegathering.com with the webcast of the Top 8 set to kick off from Memphis at 9:45 a.m. ET on December 14th.
