December 3, 2000: 2000 Pro Tour–Chicago: Kai Budde wins again!

Serving notice to the rest of the Pro Tour that his 1999 World Championship was no fluke, Kai Budde and his rebel deck took the prize on December 3, 2000. Jon Finkel, Zvi Mowshowitz, Brian Kibler, Rob Dougherty, Kamiel Cornelissen, Michael Pustilnik, and Jay Elarar filled out the star-studded Top 8,

Meanwhile, in the 2000 Chicago Masters event, Ben Rubin beat Jon Finkel in the finals, drafting green-white-blue with three Glimmering Angels to defeat Finkel's black-red burn deck.
