Double Masters on Magic Online

As announced previously, Double Masters events are ongoing with Sealed Deck, Draft, and Phantom Draft Leagues available. If you haven't checked out the updated Magic Premier Play schedule yet and what Super Qualifiers qualify you for, go read that announcement.


Cube Spotlight: Live the Dream

David McDarby, operations administrator and game designer at WotC, brings us the latest entry in MTGO's Cube Spotlight Series: Live the Dream. Here, cards cost more mana, have more versatility, and are more . . . mythic. If you haven't yet, check out David's article which covers all eleven archetypes from the cube and includes a full card list.

Live the Dream runs from tomorrow through September 16, and entry options are 10 Event Tickets or 100 Play Points.

Legacy Split Championship Qualifier Saturday

On Saturday, September 12, there will be a Legacy Split Championship Qualifier at 7 a.m. PT! The entry fee is 40 MOCS Qualifier Points. The winner qualifies for the Zendikar Rising Split Championship on MTG Arena.

Modern Super Qualifier Sunday

On Sunday, September 13, there will be a Modern Super Qualifier at 3 a.m. PT! The entry fee is 40 MOCS Qualifier Points, 40 Event Tickets, or 400 Play Points. The winner qualifies for the Zendikar Rising Split Championship on MTG Arena.

Magic Online Format Challenges Every Weekend

Format Challenges are the first step toward qualifying for Premier Play through your favorite Magic formats. To learn more about Premier Play qualification, click here.

Magic Online's Format Challenges now run once on Saturdays and once on Sundays for each Constructed format! On weekends featuring Showcase Challenge events, the Format Challenge that starts at either 6 a.m., 8 a.m., or 10 a.m. Pacific time is pre-empted by the Showcase Challenge—Format Challenges scheduled at other times remain in place. NOTE: The Pauper Challenge is never pre-empted.
