From 229 players came the final eight returning for the Sunday showdown. These are the Top 8 competitors of the Neon Dynasty Championship.

Jim Davis

What a way to break through for Jim Davis, a longtime high-level competitor who battled to the top of the SCG Tour and becoming a Magic content creator before making his first career Top Finish in the most dominant way possible. He turned in a 12-0 run across Alchemy and Historic matches to lock up his Top 8 berth early—much to his own surprise—and entered Sunday as the top overall seed.

Jean-Emmanuel Depraz

From winning Grand Prix Warsaw in 2017 to captain of the winning team from France at the 2019 World Magic Cup to Top Finish after Top Finish across 2019 and 2020 with a Magic World Championship XXVII finalist appearance in 2021: the accolades for and persistent, consistent success of Jean-Emmanuel Depraz continue to pile up. Attacking metagames with tuned, thoughtful decks, his surprise Historic list (Azorius Affinity) was a deck no one expected but was certainly successful as Depraz, again, clinched a Top Finish at the Neon Dynasty Championship.

Zach Dunn

Zach Dunn is one of the rare Top 8 competitors who can be considered a veteran at such a young age. With multiple Top 8 appearances under his belt already, adding this Top Finish gives Dunn a proper introduction to the Magic world at large and is a confirmation of work he put into preparing for both formats as part of a large testing team.

Jonny Guttman

Jonny "ginky" Guttman is one of the group of fast-rising young talents in the game, and he's quietly been behind some of the best Standard decks of the past few years. His team was at it again for the Neon Dynasty Championship, and in this case that meant playing streamlined versions of staple decks: Mono-White Aggro in Alchemy and Golgari Food in Historic.

It paid off for Guttman, whose star only keeps growing brighter with the addition of his first career Top Finish.

Eli Kassis

Kassis continues to build on an outstanding career with his second Top Finish, and the Magic Pro League member will now set his sights on improving on his quarterfinals exit in his last premier Top 8 appearance.

He'll have a good chance at that thanks to the Orzhov Venture deck his team pioneered in Alchemy. The brew was one of the top-performing decks throughout the Neon Dynasty Championship, and Kassis took it to a perfect 7-0 finish in the Alchemy rounds. With a diverse Top 8 field to work his way through next, Kassis hopes he can continue the run with his dungeon deck.

Yudai Miyano

Miyano didn't expect to find himself in this position after two days of play, but then again he never expected to find himself in the Neon Dynasty Championship either. But his first run at qualifying earlier this year earned him a spot at the Championship, and his stellar play through 15 rounds has earned him an auspicious start and a career-making Top Finish to get things started.

Brent Vos

A Netherlands player with team Grand Prix success in 2016 and 2019, he broke through to the Magic Rivals League with a Top 8 finish at Players Tour Brussels in 2020. Quickly establishing himself as a decklist tuner and tester, he earned the appreciation of some of the game's greats, then an invitation to test with them. With players such as Luis Scott-Vargas and Eli Kassis crediting him for work throughout the 2020-21 season, Vos now adds another Top Finish to his resume with his rally to be the third, and final, player to lock Top 8 with 12 wins at the Neon Dynasty Championship.
