Israel's Shahar Shenhar achieves multiple firsts with his second, back-to-back World Championship title!
DAY 3 COVERAGE
For fourteenth-ranked Shahar Shenhar, it seemed like nothing would top his 2013 World Championship victory. However, the 21-year-old player proved that the last time wasn't a fluke.
Battling through a tough field, multiple tournaments with his participation in the World Magic Cup, and a Sunday stage that featured 2012 World Champion Yuuya Watanabe and 2007 World Champion finalist Patrick Chapin, Shenhar proved his mastery of the game. Not only is he the first player to win two World Championship titles, but he is also did so in consecutive years.
With a weekend of impressive play, two trophies from back-to-back World Championships in his possession, Shahar Shenhar has only begun to build his dynasty as one of Magic's greatest.
