After 15 rounds of intense competition, our Top 8 at the inaugural Grand Prix Guangzhou is born.

Jia Hao (who locked up his spot in the Top at in Round 14) tried to knock out No. 22-ranked Ryoichi Tamada to free up a spot for his Chinese compatriot. However, he didn't succeed and Tamada advanced.

Over at table 2, Kentaro Yamamoto takes an intentional draw with Lim Zhong Yi. At the next table, Keita Kawasaki, and Kelvin Chew do the same. Rounding out, Wu Kon Fai, and Albertus Law both won their win-and-in matches to join the Top 8.
