Choosing the 23rd and 24th cards—either Think Twice, Turn to Mist, Foil, or Fire // Ice

White-Blue Heroic twice.

What card(s) surprised you this weekend – on your side of the battlefield or the other?

Paul's Mono-White deck. [Rietzl's Mono-White Martyr of Sands deck surprised a lot of people]

MPL, probably.

Tell me about your Sealed deck. What colors? How did it do? What card was the MVP?

Black-Red-blue Control. I somehow constantly won by attacking with GRzzly Bear madness enablers. MVP was Mikaeus, but #2 was Olivia's Dragoon.

What was the hardest choice building your Sealed deck?

Whether to play White-Black-blue, or Black-Red-blue. Angel of Despair is a helluva card, but I went with the Red removal.

Tell me about your Draft decks. What colors? Were there any tough decisions drafting?

Green-White-red – Become Immense, Wild Mongrel, Double Cleave (3-0)

Blue-Red Bad Cards with two Balefire Dragons (1-0-2)

Toughest decision was whether to draft Black when it was open in Draft 2. I hate Black and I didn't.

What card(s) surprised you this weekend – on your side of the battlefield or the other?

Anger was super impressive on both sides. Hasty Balefire Dragon anyone?

Winning the Pro Tour

Prove Pro Tour Guilds of Ravnica was not a fluke. Write articles I am proud of.

No surprises – everything went according to plan.

Giving my friend Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL on DVD for Christmas.

Whether to splash – not a ton of fixing but my White cards were too good.

Mono-White (2-1) – Well, I didn't know what my deck did until five minutes left in building

Green-White (2-0-1) – No real tough decisions, I had a pretty good Heroic deck.

Faith's Fetter – Surprisingly disappointing

God's Willing – Amazing, easily first pickable
