Owen Turtenwald

Age: 26

Hometown: Milwaukee, WI

Limited Record: 5-1

Constructed Record: 8-1-1

Previous Magic accomplishments: Two Pro Tour Top 8 appearances, 2011 Player of the Year.

What Standard deck are you playing and why? Dark Jeskai. It was designed by Ben Rubin and the Pantheon. I tried everything I could to build a deck that beats it and I couldn't, so I had no choice but to play it.

What Battle for Zendikar card impressed you the most this weekend?

Radiant Flames.

Who did you prepare for the tournament with?

ChannelFireball, the Pantheon.

Limited Record: 4-2

Constructed Record: 8-0-2

Previous Magic accomplishments:

Top 24 at Grand Prix Montreal 2015

What Standard deck are you playing and why?

Green-White Megamorph. This is the most consistent deck out there. Every card in the deck can be good on its own. Also, I've practiced a lot with this deck and I know the matchups.

What Battle for Zendikar card impressed you the most this weekend?

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar.

Who did you prepare for the tournament with?

A friend in my hometown and I practiced drafting on Magic Online.

It would be the best thing that's ever happened in my Magic career. All the time and hard work that I put in would pay off.

Occupation: Magic player and writer for ChannelFireball.com

Limited Record: 6-0

Constructed Record: 6-3-1

What Standard deck are you playing and why?

Atarka Red. It's so much faster than anything else, and the format is kind of clunky with people playing four colors.

What Battle for Zendikar card impressed you the most this weekend?

Radiant Flames, I guess. I'm not playing many Battle for Zendikar cards myself, but that one was good every time someone cast it versus me.

Who did you prepare for the tournament with?

The Face to Face guys: Alexander Hayne, Jon Stern, Nathan Holiday, Josh McClain, Shuhei Nakamura, Sam Pardee, Mike Sigrist, Neal Oliver, and Tyler Bloom.

What would winning the Pro Tour mean to you?

It'd show me I can still compete at the highest level.

What Battle for Zendikar card impressed you the most this weekend?

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar.

Who did you prepare for the tournament with? Yuuki Ichikawa, Yuuya Watanabe, and Yuki Matsumoto.

What would winning the Pro Tour mean to you? I am getting married at the end of this year. I always told her that I would make it to a Top 8 someday, and I'm glad I could give this win to my future wife.

Jon Finkel

Hometown: Fanwood, New Jersey

Occupation: Hedge Fund Manager

Limited Record: 4-2

Constructed Record: 8-1-1

Battle lands.

Who did you prepare for the tournament with?
