What's your favorite draft archetype in this format, and what's the best card to open for that?

Jelger Wiegersma, Five Pro Tour Top 8s: Blue-black is the best color combination, and I'm always looking to draft more of a control deck. The best first pick is Dragonlord Silumgar, I guess.

Raphaël Lévy, Hall of Famer: Black-red, with lots of small deathtouch creatures like Hand of Silumgar and Typhoid Rats, followed by Gravepurge. The best card to open is Dragonlord Kolaghan, which I did yesterday. As for none-rares, Rakshasa Gravecaller is also great.

Martin Jůza, 22 Grand Prix Top 8s: Blue-black, because it just does the most powerful stuff with exploit, flying creatures, and removal. The best card to open is Sidisi, Undead Vizier, but leaving rares aside, I like Ultimate Price. It's just so flexible.

Shahar Shenhar, Two-Time World Champion: Definitely blue-black, with lots of exploit synergies, Gurmag Drowner, Rakshada Gravecaller, and so on. Dragonlord Silumgar is the card to open for that.

Adrian Sullivan, Magic Theorist/Writer/Veteran: Definitely not blue-black. I guess I would say red-green, based on Sabertooth Outrider. The card is so strong that I'm then picking Ainok Artillerist, Gore Swine, and basically anything that helps turn on formidable. The best first pick for the deck might just be Sabertooth Outrider itself, actually.
