プロツアー『戦乱のゼンディカー』の結果が出て、今大会での上位デッキから私はこの新セットが環境に与えた影響をじっくりと把握してきました。トップ８入賞デッキには《ゼンディカーの同盟者、ギデオン》と「バトル・ランド」が多数見受けられましたが、プロツアーにおける珠玉のスタンダード・デッキには隠れた原石もたくさんあるのです。そういったデッキは、プレイヤーがリミテッドでつまずいたため、カバレージでも多くは触れられていません。
本日ご紹介するデッキは、新たなエルドラージ・クリーチャーを存分に楽しむランプ戦略です。エルドラージを繰り出して対戦相手の盤面を制圧するのは、この上なく気持ちが良いですよね。《忘却蒔き》は対戦相手の土地を奪う強力な能力を持ち、10マナの《絶え間ない飢餓、ウラモグ》を唱える大きな助けになります。
《絶え間ない飢餓、ウラモグ》は現在のスタンダードで極めて強力なクリーチャーです。まだその姿を見かける機会は少ないですが、その大きな理由は《はじける破滅》と《アブザンの魔除け》がかなり幅を利かせているからです。《絶え間ない飢餓、ウラモグ》の能力は、盤面にある最大の脅威を追放することだけでなく、土地を追放するのも有効な使い方です。大抵のデッキにおいて、タッチした色のマナを生み出せるマナ源はごく少数に抑えられています。そのため、「ダーク・ジェスカイ」に対してタイミング良く《絶え間ない飢餓、ウラモグ》を唱えて黒マナ源を取り去ってやれば、戦いの鍵となるカードを使われる可能性を減らすことができるでしょう。
このデッキを使用したヴィクトリアーノ・リム/Victoriano Limは、ゲーム後半を迎えるために様々な手段で防衛を図っています。《衰滅》や《命運の核心》はもちろんですが、『戦乱のゼンディカー』で登場した《地下墓地の選別者》もまた、このデッキでは大きな役割を担っています。２/３というサイズは、アグレッシブなデッキから飛び出すクリーチャーたちの攻撃から生き残るのに十分なもので、さらにマナ加速をひとつ進めるエルドラージ・末裔・トークンも生み出してくれます。しかし最も重要なのは、クリーチャーが死亡するたびに占術を行えるという点です。この能力のおかげで、必要なカードを求めてライブラリーを掘り進めることができるのです。
ヴィクトリアーノ・リムは、この「エルドラージ・ランプ」デッキを操り、プロツアー『戦乱のゼンディカー』スタンダード部門７勝３敗という目覚ましい成績を収めました。ユニークなデッキを操り成功を収めた彼に、拍手！

こんにちは、皆さん。今年の「Daily Deck」は今回で最後です。本日ご紹介するのは、『戦乱のゼンディカー』で登場した新たなメカニズム「昇華者」を用いたモダンのデッキです。「昇華者」メカニズムといえば《不毛の地の絞殺者》がスタンダードで活躍を見せ始めていますが、それを用いたモダンのデッキを目にするのは初めてです。
