マジックの最新セットが『タルキール龍紀伝』と名付けられたのには理由があります。龍はあらゆるところにいます。このセットの発売以降、私たちは赤緑、青黒、エスパー、果ては青単まで、多くのドラゴン・デッキを見てきました。今日のデッキは、ドラゴンの新たな一面です。ダニエル・ワード/Daniel Wardは黒赤ドラゴン・デッキを駆り、先日のプロツアー地域予選(RPTQ)でトップ入賞を果たしました。そこには、興味深いカード選択が多く含まれていたのです。
《嵐の憤怒、コラガン》は『運命再編』の強力なドラゴンのひとつですが、私はスタンダードで見ることになるとは思いませんでした。働きとしては繰り返しの《溶岩の斧》、毎ターン対戦相手に５点のダメージを与えるものです。戦場に他のクリーチャーがいればより良いものになりますし、このデッキではそれに事欠くことはありません。《ゴブリンの熟練扇動者》は赤の３マナ域として最高のもののひとつであり、《嵐の憤怒、コラガン》と素晴らしいシナジーを形成します。それ単体でも非常に良いものですが、《ゴブリンの熟練扇動者》と愉快な仲間たちは《嵐の憤怒、コラガン》とともに攻撃すると、大量のダメージを叩き出すのです。
このデッキの主要なテーマは速攻です。《ゴブリンの熟練扇動者》、《嵐の息吹のドラゴン》、《嵐の憤怒、コラガン》により、このデッキは強烈な一撃を加え、対戦相手はあなたのターン中に相当量の対応を迫られることでしょう。《雷破の執政》は速攻こそ持たないものの、対戦相手が対処を決断したときには即座にダメージを与え返します。
《コラガンの命令》もまた、このデッキと完璧に適合します。多くの場合は墓地のドラゴンを１枚手札に戻しつつ２点のダメージを与えることになりますが、対戦相手にインスタントの速度で手札を１枚捨てさせることができるという有用性も持っています。それほど印象的ではないと思われるかもしれませんが、対戦相手が手札を１枚も持たない状態で迎えたドロー・ステップの間にこれを唱えるというのは素晴らしいプレイです。引いたものがクリーチャーやソーサリーなら、それを唱える機会を与えることなく捨てさせられるのです。たった３マナで得られる、とても大きな価値です！

こんにちは、皆さん。今年の「Daily Deck」は今回で最後です。本日ご紹介するのは、『戦乱のゼンディカー』で登場した新たなメカニズム「昇華者」を用いたモダンのデッキです。「昇華者」メカニズムといえば《不毛の地の絞殺者》がスタンダードで活躍を見せ始めていますが、それを用いたモダンのデッキを目にするのは初めてです。
