佐々木は森の長考を土地が不十分な状態からのスタート、とにらんでこれに《麻痺の感触/Stupefying Touch》。
果たして森、沼を置いて《朽ちゆくインプ/Putrid Imp》。
どうやら初手に出すクリーチャーの効率を計っていたようだ。一方、土地に困ったのは佐々木の方。《予報/Predict》を自らのライブラリにうち、３枚目の土地を求める。
森、《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》。
攻めは細いながらも、良好な立ち上がりを見せる。佐々木、土地が 3 枚と窮屈な中から《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》を召還。時間を稼ぐ構えだ。
が、森は《ケンタウルスの酋長/Centaur Chieftain》で急襲。思わず唸る佐々木。
返すターン、佐々木は《監獄鎧/Cagemail》で《ケンタウルスの酋長/Centaur Chieftain》を食い止める。弱い《平和な心/Pacifism》でしかないカードだが、佐々木の攻め手は飛行クリーチャー群。デッキとの相性がこのカードの価値を高めている。
森、《ひどい憔悴/Crippling Fatigue》で《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》を除去し、攻撃。佐々木、やっと土地を引くがタップインの《海底の瓦礫/Seafloor Debris》。しかたなく《墨吐きセファリッド/Cephalid Inkshrouder》を出して終了。これは森の《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》と相打つが、森は《変態するワーム/Metamorphic Wurm》を召還。スレッショルドにはまだ遠いが、十分なプレッシャーを与えている。
さらに土地を得た佐々木は《寄生牙のカニ/Wormfang Crab》を召還。森は《海底の瓦礫/Seafloor Debris》を指定。これでなんとか戦線を停滞させたい佐々木だが、森は《秘儀の教示/Arcane Teachings》を《変態するワーム/Metamorphic Wurm》に貼って総攻撃。ライフが９の佐々木、現在 5/5 の《変態するワーム/Metamorphic Wurm》をブロックする道もあるが、《朽ちゆくインプ/Putrid Imp》をブロックすることを選択。援軍に望みを託す。

それを待つわけにはいかない佐々木は《霊気の噴出/Aether Burst》で《変態するワーム/Metamorphic Wurm》を森の手札に戻し、《心優しきボディガード/Benevolent Bodyguard》を召還。

先攻佐々木。
森、マリガンを迷う素振りを見せつつもスタートを決意。
佐々木、《心優しきボディガード/Benevolent Bodyguard》を橋頭堡に《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》を召還。
森、3 ターン目に力強くドロー。見事に森を引き当てる。実は１ランドからのスタートだったらしい。「たまには事故ってくれよ」と冗談交じりに佐々木。森は《鋼胴の甲虫/Ironshell Beetle》を召還、先刻召還済みの《朽ちゆくインプ/Putrid Imp》に +1/+1 カウンターを乗せて攻撃。
森、続くターンにもドロー森。佐々木の「走る？」の問いに屈託なく「うん」と答え、《ケンタウルスの酋長/Centaur Chieftain》が登場。
動きのない佐々木を攻め立てるように《ドルイドの収穫者/Harvester Druid》、《精励する農場労働者/Diligent Farmhand》と展開。マナベースでも優位に立つ。佐々木、除去を警戒しつつも《遊牧の民のおとり/Nomad Decoy》を召還。すかさず森は《ひどい憔悴/Crippling Fatigue》を《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》に。これは《心優しきボディガード/Benevolent Bodyguard》の能力に阻まれるが、当然FBで《遊牧の民のおとり/Nomad Decoy》を除去。

さしもの森も動けず、機をうかがう。佐々木もまた、動きはなくターンが過ぎていく。

再びの膠着状態となるが今度は佐々木が仕掛ける。十分な手札から《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》を召還。森は《病的な飢え/Morbid Hunger》を《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》に撃つが、佐々木は《励まし/Embolden》で撃退。森の揺さぶりに耐えてみせる。《生まれ変わった勇士/Reborn Hero》を戦列に加えた佐々木は（佐々木の墓地は現在 4 枚）、《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》で攻撃を開始。
森は《凶暴象/Rabid Elephant》を召還。これはさすがの佐々木の防御陣でも無償では止まらない。満を持して森は《尊い癒し手/Hallowed Healer》に《毒の臭い/Toxic Stench》（非スレッショルド）。佐々木はこれを《エイヴンの戦略/Aven Warcraft》で回避。
森は《凶暴象/Rabid Elephant》での攻撃を敢行するが、《生まれ変わった勇士/Reborn Hero》で防御した佐々木は自らのライブラリに《予報/Predict》。これでスレッショルドに達し、《生まれ変わった勇士/Reborn Hero》が永遠のブロッカーと化した。
鉄壁を思わせる防御陣に苛立ちを隠せない森。佐々木は《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》で攻撃を加えつつ、勝利を浮動のものとするべく 4 マナで《打開/Breakthrough》を放つ。森はここで全戦力での攻撃を決意。《朽ちゆくインプ/Putrid Imp》の能力を起動し、《変態するワーム/Metamorphic Wurm》を強引にスレッショルドさせてみせる。が、これに《懲罰/Chastise》が突き刺さる。7 点のライフを得て、大きく死から逃れた佐々木。
だが、森もこのままでは終わらない。《灰毛の定め/Grizzly Fate》を放ち、 5 体の熊トークンを召還。意地を見せ、ギャラリーを大いに沸かせた。
手札の豊富な佐々木は勝機を感じたか、《幻影の群れ/Phantom Flock》も攻撃に参加させ、大きなストライドで勝利に近づいていく。森は《灰毛の定め/Grizzly Fate》をフラッシュバック、 10 体の熊トークンが並ぶ。
続くターン、森は祈りながらも《シートンの願望/Seton’s Desire》を《ケンタウルスの酋長/Centaur Chieftain》につけ、全員で攻撃。佐々木は《霊気の噴出/Aether Burst》でこれに応え、森を投了に追い込んだ。

佐々木は森のスレッショルド攻勢に対抗すべく、《忘却の掌握/Grip of Amnesia》をサイドから投入。タイミングよく決まれば面白い効果を生みそうだ。
先攻は森。両者ともにマリガンなし。
佐々木は再び《心優しきボディガード/Benevolent Bodyguard》からのスタート。森はこれに《毒の臭い/Toxic Stench》で応じる。森は《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》、佐々木は《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》と、それぞれ展開。
ここで森は速攻に出る。迷いながらも《象の導き/Elephant Guide》を《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》にエンチャントし、果敢に攻撃。
佐々木は《遊牧の民のおとり/Nomad Decoy》でこれに応じる構え。森はこれを除去できず。佐々木はさらに《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》を召還。 2 体の《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》によるクロックを前に、しかし森は《汚い野犬/Filthy Cur》《戦場のたかり屋/Battlefield Scrounger》を召還することしかできない。佐々木はさらに《霊気の噴出/Aether Burst》で《象の導き/Elephant Guide》つきの《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》を手札に戻し、一安心。それでも森は「まだまだですよ」と静かに闘志を奮い立たせる。

攻撃後、森は手中の《病的な飢え/Morbid Hunger》をどこかに撃たなければいけない局面。だが、どこに撃つ。佐々木の場には《空翼のエイヴン/Skywing Aven》２体、《遊牧の民のおとり/Nomad Decoy》すべてタップ状態。おきている土地は平地１、島が４。森が選んだ対象は、成功すれば最も高い効果のあがる《遊牧の民のおとり/Nomad Decoy》。しかし、佐々木の《励まし/Embolden》により、逆転には至らないもののライフ獲得により貴重な時間を稼ぐ。
