勝ってもベスト 8 には入れるかどうかは微妙なラインだが、なんにしても勝たなければ話にならない。ベスト 8 にはいるための身内同士のつぶしあいが始まった。
Game 1
先手森は、沼 2 枚でのスタートであったが見事最初のドローで森を引当て《ドルイドの収穫者/Harvester Druid》を召喚。
返しで池田は《セファリッドの斥候/Cephalid Scout》を呼ぶ。森は《ドルイドの収穫者/Harvester Druid》に《象の導き/Elephant Guide》を付け一気にライフを削りに行く。
返すターンで池田の召喚した《クローサの修復者/Krosan Restorer》にノータイムで《ひどい憔悴/Crippling Fatigue》をうちこみさらにダメージを稼ぐ森。
池田は《夢繰り/Dreamwinder》を召喚し何とか相討ちするのだが場に《象の導き》の効果で象トークンが帰ってくるので状況はあまり変わらない。さらに次ターン、池田は 2 体目の《夢繰り》を出し象トークンと相討ちを取るのだがライフ面でもカードアドバンテージ面でも森にじりじりと差をつけられ苦しい池田。
しかも森の大攻勢はまだ止まらず《魂の災い魔/Soul Scourge》《ナントゥーコの信奉者/Nantuko Disciple》連発でとキャスト。
池田もなんとか地上のクリーチャ－は《地図作り／Cartographer》《虚無魔道士の代言者/Nullmage Advocate》と出して止めたのだが飛行クリーチャーがどうにもならず次ターン投了した。

Game 2
森、 1 ターン目《精励する農場労働者／Diligent Farmhand》、 2 ターン目《朽ちゆくインプ／Putrid Imp》とテンポよく展開する。
が、 3 ターン目に池田が召喚した《虚無魔道士の代言者》でピッタリと止まってしまう。その後、森が《クローサの修復者》《鋼胴の甲虫/Ironshell Beetle》（対象はインプ）池田が《ハイドロモルフの守護者/Hydromorph Guardian》と展開するが。場に変化は起こらない。
だが、 2 人のプレイヤーには決定的に決定的な差があった。ライブラリーのトップの強さである。
池田はいつまでたっても土地しか引かないのに対して、《凶暴象/Rabid Elephant》《病的な飢え/Morbid Hunger》《秘儀の教示/Arcane Teachings》《シートンの願望/Seton's Desire》《ひどい憔悴》など、つぎつぎと有効カードを引き込む森。
初手以降《寄生牙のドレイク/Wormfang Drake》 1 枚と土地しか引いていない池田に勝てるはずも無く森はスイスラウンド最終戦を見事勝利を収めあとは天に祈るのみとなった。
