ここで勝った方はほぼベスト 8 が確定する重要な一戦。
Game 1
後手の中野の《強迫/Duress》を宝輪が《魔力の乱れ/Force Spike》する立ち上がり。
中野は続けて《陰謀団式療法/Cabal Therapy》（《ドルイドの誓い/Oath of Druids》を指定）するが空振りに終わり、しかもそのまま土地が《沼》《黄塵地帯/Dust Bowl》で止まってしまう。
《嘘か真か/Fact or Fiction》で非常に高カロリーな手札を獲得した宝輪。
宝輪が《樹上の村/Treetop Village》で殴り始めた返しでようやく中野が《森》を得て《極楽鳥/Birds of Paradise》を出すものの、宝輪の方からも《黄塵地帯》が登場。
《ヤヴィマヤの古老/Yavimaya Elder》も《対抗呪文/Counterspell》、逆にマナを締め上げ始める。
やや展開が遅れているものの、中野は《強迫》（《禁止/Forbid》を抜く）に続けて《生ける願い/Living Wish》で《棺の女王/Coffin Queen》をチューター。
続けての《陰謀団式療法》フラッシュバックで《狡猾な願い/Cunning Wish》を落とし、先行していたはずの宝輪の手札はズタズタになっってしまった。
とはいえ中野の土地は 3 枚で止まったままで、《魔力の乱れ》が見えているにも関わらず《棺の女王》をプレイせざるを得ない状況。
対する宝輪は《黄塵地帯》のバックアップを得た《樹上の村》が 3 枚並び、しかもそこから普通に《認識を食うもの/Cognivore》をプレイする。
《生ける屍/Living Death》は持っているものの《沼》が足らない中野。
祈りながらドローするがそこには《貪欲なるベイロス/Ravenous Baloth》、これはちょっと違う。
後一回のアタックで死ぬ中野、ラストドロー。

このままでは《顔なしの解体者/Faceless Butcher》《生ける屍》が使えない中野はとりあえず《ヤヴィマヤの古老》でアタック。
これを宝輪が中野の思惑通りに《樹上の村》でブロックしてしまい、中野は待望の黒マナを手に入れる。
しかし宝輪は《禁止》を引いていた・・・・

Game 2
先攻の中野は《極楽鳥》から軽快にゲームを開始。
続けて最速で《生き埋め/Buried Alive》-《起源/Genesis》《ヤヴィマヤの古老》《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ/Visara the Dreadful》を墓地に送り込む。
返しで宝輪は《ドルイドの誓い》。
《吸血の教示者/Vampiric Tutor》を抱える中野は考えながら普通にドローして《破滅的な行為/Pernicious Deed》を場に。
《ドルイドの誓い》を起動されるわけにはいかない中野は、苦しい形ながらも《破滅的な行為》で自分の《極楽鳥》を吹き飛ばす。
まあ少なくとも《ドルイドの誓い》さえ起動させなければ宝輪のダメージソースは少ないわけだし、中野には《起源》がある。
実は宝輪の手札にはその《起源》サイクルを封じる《クローサ流再利用/Krosan Reclamation》があったのだが、普段は不要なカードのせいか間違えて《渦巻く知識/Brainstorm》《汚染された三角州/Polluted Delta》でライブラリーの奥に戻してしまっていた。
互いにダメージクロックを用意できない状況が続く。
《起源》で《ヤヴィマヤの古老》を回す中野。
《渦巻く知識》《汚染された三角州》、《直観/Intuition》《蓄積した知識/Accumulated Knowledge》《嘘か真か》で手札を増強していく宝輪。
双方共にディスカードが続き、宝輪が《黄塵地帯》で中野の《樹上の村》を破壊した後にようやく《樹上の村》で殴り始める。
何度か殴られた末に中野が《吸血の教示者》から《陰謀団式療法》、《破滅的な行為》、《墓所を歩くもの/Crypt Creeper》による《陰謀団式療法》フラッシュバックと攻め立てて、この時点で宝輪の手札で意味のあるものは《渦巻く知識》 2 枚。
これでようやく中野は《破滅的な行為》でガンになっていた《ドルイドの誓い》を《樹上の村》ごと吹き飛ばし、時間が迫っているため《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》で勝負に出る。
すでにエクストラターンに入っている宝輪、後は時間を稼げばいいと《狡猾な願い》から《悪魔の布告/Diabolic Edict》。
確かに《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》は《起源》で復活させることができるのだが中野には時間が無い。
それに《樹上の村》に殴られ続けていたことでライフもぎりぎりのところまできており、このままでは《樹上の村》に殴り負ける、というところで宝輪が場に出したのは《破滅的な行為》。
《花の壁/Wall of Blossoms》《ヤヴィマヤの古老》サクリファイス-と打開策を探すも何も無く、中野投了。
