いよいよこの Finals'02 も決勝ラウンド。
スタンダードでの失点をエクステンデッドのティンカーで補う形になった桧垣と（3-2 、4-0-1 、 2 連敗からの 7 連勝！）、堅実に成績を残してベスト 8 入りした加藤（ 4-1 、 3-1-1 ）。
実はこの 2 人は予選ラウンドですでに当たっていたらしく、その時は加藤が勝ったそうだ。
リアニメイトビートダウン vs サイクリング。
Game 1
先攻の桧垣の《野生の雑種犬/Wild Mongrel》からゲームが開始された。
ユーティリティの塊である《燃え立つ願い/Burning Wish》を 2 枚引いている桧垣は基本動作の《生き埋め/Buried Alive》、加藤が変異クリーチャー（もちろん《賛美されし天使/Exalted Angel》）を場に出すと《炎の稲妻/Firebolt》と万全の対応力を得る。
すでに《憤怒/Anger》が落ちている桧垣。
加藤は《稲妻の裂け目/Lightning Rift》を場に出すが、返しの《生き埋め》で《宿命のネクロマンサー/Doomed Necromancer》《起源/Genesis》《幻影のニショーバ/Phantom Nishoba》が墓地に送り込まれ、加えて《定員過剰の墓地/Oversold Cemetery》が場に追加されて窮地に陥る加藤。
だが加藤はサイクリングを続けて《生ける願い/Living Wish》を引き込み、《定員過剰の墓地》は《雲を追うエイヴン/Aven Cloudchaser》で対処。
この間も《野生の雑種犬》が殴り続け加藤のライフは少ない。
だが桧垣の方も自身の《真鍮の都/City of Brass》、加藤の《稲妻の裂け目》がじわじわとライフを蝕んでおり安全とはいえない状況だ。
ここで桧垣が《起源》により《宿命のネクロマンサー》を場に戻し（ただし余剰マナが無いため即起動はできない）、やむを得ず加藤は勝負に出る。
手札には十分なサイクリングカードがあり、足らないのはマナだけ。
サイクリング、サイクリング・・・・・
だが加藤は残り 1 点の桧垣のライフを削りきれなかった。
残り 2 マナの状態で手札には《新たな信仰/Renewed Faith》。
基本地形、フェッチランド、サイクリングランドのどれも加藤は引くことができなかったのだ。

Game 2
2 本目は桧垣の《極楽鳥/Birds of Paradise》からのスタートとなった。
順調にマナを伸ばす加藤とは対照的に桧垣はマナに苦しみ、《宿命のネクロマンサー》を出しつつ《生き埋め》で速攻リアニメイトできるチャンスがあったが土地を引けず。
そのタイミングで《神の怒り》を使われ、《野生の雑種犬》を出すが《賛美されし天使》に攻め返される。
だが土地が止まっていた桧垣は肝心のタイミングで土地を 2 連続で引き込み、《生き埋め》《野生の雑種犬》 2 体目から《燃え立つ願い》（《ゾンビ化/Zombify》をチューター）、《ゾンビ化》での速攻《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ/Visara the Dreadful》リアニメイト。
ヘイストのために《賛美されし天使》は《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》で殺され、しょうがなく加藤は《神の怒り》でリセット。
続けて出てきた《貪欲なるベイロス/Ravenous Baloth》を前にして必死に《霊体の地滑り/Astral Slide》＆《地図作り》で防衛線を張るが、《起源》《憤怒》《ドルイドの抒情詩人》のセットを持つ桧垣の前にはエンチャントは風前の灯火。
もちろん《ドルイドの抒情詩人》で《霊体の地滑り》は叩き割られ、《賛美されし天使》は《宿命のネクロマンサー》から《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》リアニメイトで封殺と、どうにも逃げ道が塞がりつつある加藤。
それでも追加の《霊体の地滑り》で時間を稼ぎ、《神の怒り》で場をリセット。
《稲妻の裂け目》で残り少ない桧垣のライフを狙う。
手札にはサイクリングカードが 1 枚しか無い状況だが・・・・
《忘れられた洞窟/Forgotten Cave》-《クローサの大牙獣》-《新たな信仰》！
1 本目とはうって変わってサイクリングがチェーンした加藤が踏みとどまる。

Game 3
桧垣がサイドインした《ドルイドの抒情詩人》を 1 ターン目から場に。
たった 1 枚のカードをいきなり最初にプレイされて思わず加藤も苦笑い。
桧垣は《定員過剰の墓地》《宿命のネクロマンサー》と続ける。
マナを使い切って展開しているわりにはイマイチの展開だが、次のターンには《生き埋め》-《起源》《憤怒》《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》の 3 点セット。
しかし《山》の無い桧垣。
《宿命のネクロマンサー》から《戦慄をなす者ヴィザラ》をリアニメイトして加藤の《賛美されし天使》に対応する。
加藤はやむを得ず《神の怒り》。
未だ土地が伸びない桧垣は《定員過剰の墓地》を生かして《生き埋め》で《クローサの大牙獣》を回し待望の赤マナを獲得。
とにかく諸悪の根源と化している《定員過剰の墓地》は《生ける願い》からの《雲を追うエイヴン》で対処され、桧垣は墓地のエンジンを起動しにくくなった（《起源》は依然として効力を発揮してはいる）。
加藤が《雲を追うエイヴン》で強引に攻めようと《神の怒り》を使った返しで、マナが無い（《震央》を警戒して土地を溜めているため）桧垣は《起源》経由で無く手札から《宿命のネクロマンサー》から《幻影のニショーバ》！
しかも加藤が《幻影のニショーバ》に対処できないところで、桧垣はダメ押しの一撃を放った。
《燃え立つ願い》から《消えないこだま/Haunting Echoes》・・・・
