去年のファイナリストの意地をみせた桧垣と、そろそろ実力に見合った成績を獲得したい八朔との対決。

Game 1
桧垣 vs 八朔 後手桧垣の 1 ターン目に出した《極楽鳥/Birds of Paradise》を《燻し/Smother》で除去する八朔だが、返すターンに桧垣の《定員過剰の墓地/Oversold Cemetery》を通してしまう事となってしまった。
《定員過剰の墓地》を通した事によって、やりたい放題の状況を作り上げた桧垣はどんどんクリーチャーを繰り出し、挙句の果てには《生き埋め/Buried Alive》まで撃ち、完全に桧垣ペース。
一方、窮地に追い込まれた八朔は、土地が 4 枚で止まった状態で《洞察のひらめき/Flash of Insight》を撃ち、必死に土地を貯める。
準備が完璧に整った桧垣は、《幻影のニショーバ/Phantom Nishoba》を《宿命のネクロマンサー/Doomed Necromancer》を使って、八朔に襲い掛かる。
そこでやっと 6 枚まで土地を貯めた八朔は、苦肉の《激動/Upheaval》で場を平らに戻し、ゲームを再開するのだが、《幻影のニショーバ》の回復能力が《サイカトグ/Psychatog》での一撃死を邪魔する。
再び場を整え直した桧垣はゆっくりと《宿命のネクロマンサー》をキャストし、その能力を起動して、風前の灯火である八朔に最後の一撃を与えた。

Game 2
先手を取って攻勢に移ろうとする八朔だが、土地が 3 枚でストップしてしまう。
そこで仕方なく《サイカトグ》をキャストするが、返すターンに桧垣の《陰謀団式療法/Cabal Therapy》によって、虎の子の《集中/Concentrate》をディスカードさせられ、そのまま、 2 枚抱えていた《堂々巡り/Circular Logic》をも手札から落とされてしまう。
八朔のに残ったリソースは 3 枚の土地と、《サイカトグ》と、 1 枚の《記憶の欠落/Memory Lapse》。
八朔を完膚なきまでにボロボロにした桧垣は、そこから《起源/Genesis》、《沈黙の死霊/Silent Specter》と立て続けにキャストし、抵抗の目を完全に摘み切ってしまい、八朔のライフが 0 になるまで攻撃を繰り返してゲーム終了。
これで昨年に続いて 2 回目の Finals 決勝戦へと、桧垣は歩を進める事となった。
