Captain's log: October 20, 2026, reporting from the helm of DailyMTG. It's time to boldly go into the final frontier with Magic: The Gathering® | Star Trek™! The 60-year legacy of Star Trek is coming to Magic, bringing tales of directive-defying captains and eclectic exoplanets from across the decades. Nearly every incarnation of Star Trek, from The Original Series to the latest voyages into space, is here. Take your seat in the captain's chair, chart a course for your local game store, and prepare for this set's release on November 13, 2026.

The Magic team's prime directive was to capture the most exciting parts of Star Trek in this set, and that includes the Booster Fun treatments and products. We have all the details on what you can find in this release here. If you're just looking for the highlights, like the hand-signed headliner cards, here are the four most important things to know about collecting Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek.

1. Signed Headliner Cards from Star Trek Actors

1701_MTGTRK_HeadSign: Captain James T. Kirk 1701D_MTGTRK_HeadSgn3: Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1704_MTGTRK_HeadSign: Captain Kathryn Janeway

The actors of Star Trek are synonymous with the franchise's impact, and they've brought their gravitas and likenesses to Magic with these signed headliner cards. Each signed card was printed, physically signed by an iconic Star Trek actor, and randomly inserted into a Collector Booster. These signatures, which come paired with a portrait-style depiction of their character, are a genuine piece of Star Trek history, and you can bring them to your Magic collection.

There are 7 different signed cards in Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek. There are fewer than 250 copies of each signed card, and each features a signature from a Star Trek actor. For more information, check out this section.

2. Make Landfall with LCARS Shock Lands

0393_MTGTRK_LCARSLnd: Watery Grave 0398_MTGTRK_LCARSLnd: Steam Vents

Explore 10 different and strange new worlds with the 10 LCARS shock lands. Each LCARS shock land features a special frame that captures the Enterprise's on-board computer, and the artwork depicts one of the many unforgettable planets explored in Star Trek. Whether you're navigating Standard with Steam Vents or charting a course through Legacy with Watery Grave, you'll want to add these lands to your personal database.

Non-foil and traditional foil LCARS shock lands appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Surge foil versions of these cards appear only in Collector Boosters.

3. Explore Federation History on Stardates Cards

0003_MTGTRK_DateRepr: Kenrith, the Returned King 0027_MTGTRK_DateRepr: Minamo, School at Water's Edge

Some of Star Trek's most famous faces and stories are coming to Magic's hottest reprints in borderless stardates cards. We took instantly recognizable cards from throughout Magic's history and reimagined them within Star Trek's universe. Take Kenrith, the Returned King, who is known here as "General Picard, Earth Warlord."

Non-foil stardates cards appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Traditional foil stardates cards appear only in Collector Boosters.

4. Bring the Beam Me Up Bundle to the Bridge

0550_MTGTRK_BundleBF: U.S.S. Enterprise-A, Free Spirit 0555_MTGTRK_BundleBF: Borg Cube

Here's an especially exciting piece of cargo: the Beam Me Up Bundle. Each Beam Me Up Bundle includes Play Boosters, a Collector Booster, and 2 of 8 traditional foil Beam Me Up Bundle promo cards. We took 8 of the most exciting Spacecraft cards from Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek and tricked them out with a new treatment that looks like a schematic from Starfleet's records.

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek releases on November 13, 2026, and is available for preorder now from your local game store, TCGplayer, Amazon, and elsewhere Magic is sold.

The Booster Fun of Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek

Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek pulls from every era of the Star Trek franchise, bringing the optimism and wonder of the series to life across the entire set. In addition to capturing the stories and characters that fans have fallen in love with, we also wanted to honor the aesthetic of Star Trek with our Booster Fun treatments.

Signed Headliner Cards

1703_MTGTRK_HeadSign: Lieutenant Commander Data 1705_MTGTRK_HeadSign: Seven of Nine, Unassimilated 1706_MTGTRK_HeadSgn2: Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge

Bring the ultimate Star Trek collectibles to your decks with cards signed by the Star Trek actors! Each headliner card depicts a Star Trek character that fans will instantly recognize, rendered in a beautiful portrait against a cosmic background. Each card was hand-signed by the actor depicted on the card and randomly inserted into a Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Collector Booster. When you hold one of these cards in your hand, you're holding a piece of Star Trek history. It's unlike anything we've done before for Magic, and we cannot wait for fans to get their hands on these cards.

There are 7 different signed cards in Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek. There are fewer than 250 copies of each signed card, and each features a signature from a Star Trek actor. Signed cards can only appear in Collector Boosters of any language, but the card will always be in English.

Stardates Cards

0011_MTGTRK_DateRepr: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse 0015_MTGTRK_DateRepr: Bristly Bill, Spine Sower

Powerful cards from Magic's history meet Star Trek moments on borderless stardates cards. Each stardates card is a recognizable reprint with artwork from the world of Star Trek. You'll find alternate incarnations of your favorite Star Trek characters, like those from the Kelvin timeline, and relive fan-favorite franchise moments through famous Magic cards.

There are 30 stardates cards in Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek. Non-foil stardates cards appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Traditional foil stardates cards appear only in Collector Boosters.

LCARS Frame Cards and LCARS Shock Lands

0366_MTGTRK_LCARS: Dr. Beverly Crusher 0383_MTGTRK_LCARS: Q, Stacking the Deck

Fire up your isolinear processer and access the Enterprise's Library Computer Access and Retrieval System, or LCARS. LCARS frame cards bring this iconic user interface to Magic cards, complete with a stylish font that's straight out of Starfleet's systems.

0399_MTGTRK_LCARSLnd: Overgrown Tomb 0401_MTGTRK_LCARSLnd: Breeding Pool

LCARS helps the Enterprise's crew on their missions, and your lands help you cast spells. Combine the two, and you get the LCARS shock lands. All 10 shock lands appear in Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek. LCARS shock lands depict a faraway planetary landscape within a special version of the LCARS frame.

There are 7 uncommon, 14 rare, and 8 mythic rare LCARS frame cards and 10 rare LCARS shock lands. Non-foil and traditional foil versions of these cards appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Surge foil versions of these cards appear only in Collector Boosters.

Classic Enterprise Cards

0417_MTGTRK_SCLobby: Salt Vampire 0418_MTGTRK_SCLobby: Captain James T. Kirk

Looking for a more retro aesthetic? Classic Enterprise cards pay homage to the vintage Star Trek posters that adorned the walls of movie theaters across the world. With artwork that utilizes a painterly, highly textured style and a special frame, each classic Enterprise card will warp you back to the era of Star Trek: The Original Series.

There are 5 uncommon, 13 rare, and 6 mythic rare classic Enterprise cards. Non-foil and traditional foil classic Enterprise cards appear in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. Surge foil classic Enterprise cards appear only in Collector Boosters.

Scene Cards

0338_MTGTRK_SceneBst: Resistance Is Futile 0346_MTGTRK_SceneBst: The Holodeck 0353_MTGTRK_SceneBst: Mr. Spock, Science Officer 0359_MTGTRK_SceneBst: Lieutenant Commander Data

Borderless scene cards depict scenes that span generations, with artwork that spans multiple Magic cards. Our crew of Booster Fun artists selected moments from various Star Trek series and films, from chilling assimilations to more whimsical outings. Cards from across these four scenes can be found in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.

  • Showdown at Sector 001: Picard is no more (for an episode, at least). This 4-card scene by Nicky Barkla shows the nail-biting confrontation between Data and Locutus from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
  • Mirror, Mirror: Mark Spears's 6-card scene brings this unforgettable episode of Star Trek: The Original Series to Magic, complete with a goatee'd Spock.
  • Unimatrix Zero: Star Trek: Voyager's battle between Janeway and the Borg Collective comes to life on Gal Or's 6-card scene, with a special appearance by Seven of Nine in a unique 2-by-3-card vertical scene.
  • Deep Space Find: The vibrant cast of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has gathered on Marija Tiurina's 9-card scene. Odo, Quark, Sisko, Jadzia … There're too many to count!

There are 10 uncommon, 8 rare, and 7 mythic rare scene cards that can be found in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. These cards appear in non-foil and traditional foil in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters.

Klingon Frame and Klingon Script Cards

0431_MTGTRK_ShwKlngn: Worf, Intelligence Contractor 0433_MTGTRK_ShwKlngn: Gowron, Eager for Battle

Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam! Or, if death isn't on your schedule, today is a good day to collect Klingon frame cards. Check out the son of Mogh himself, Worf, in this especially bold treatment.

0441_MTGTRK_Klingon: Worf, Intelligence Contractor 0443_MTGTRK_Klingon: Gowron, Eager for Battle

Qapla'! A bountiful new Booster Fun treatment has arrived. We translated the Klingon frame cards into the Klingon language, as if these cards came straight from Qo'noS. Klingon script cards are the kind of collectible you can imagine a real Klingon playing with (unsleeved, of course).
